A commercially available optical monitoring system can detect whether the discharge is on or off and accordingly trigger the switch-off of the plasma system.
The nozzle-specific power control of the M generators can compensate for disturbance variables and maintain the operation of the system, which makes visual monitoring unnesessary.
The SQI uses this comparison of the actual value with the target value of the power control and can analyze and readjust faults in real time. It is a measure of the stability of the control circuit and of the individual nozzles and makes additional visual monitoring unnesessery.
The recording of the SQI and other system-relevant parameters in a log file enables fast and efficient troubleshooting and makes remote diagnosis easier for faster error analysis and lower repair costs.
Burn-off of the electrodes, contamination, an interrupted or incorrectly set compressed air connection, contaminated process air or other unpredictable complications can result in the plasma nozzles no longer running properly and interruptions in plasma generation. In applications such as gluing seals, this is fatal as the product quality suffers massively.
Thanks to the nozzle-specific power control, these falts can either be compensated for in advance or information can be provided in real time on whether the system is running without falts through continuous analysis of the System Quality Index SQI.
Should there be parameter deviations, these are reliably detected and recorded in order to be able to create an exact profile of the process and possible sources of error.
